A devastating fire in Milan's Certosa district claimed the lives of three young individuals of Chinese descent on the night of September 12, 2024. The victims, a 17-year-old girl, her 19-year-old brother, and a 24-year-old man, were trapped in a former warehouse on Via Ermenegildo Cantoni.

The fire broke out at the building's only access point, leaving them with no escape route.

Despite efforts to flee, they succumbed to smoke inhalation.

The local Chinese community mourns the loss, as the victims were part of well-known families.

Investigations are ongoing, with authorities exploring the possibility of arson, as the business owners had reportedly received threats.
