Tragic Climbing Accidents in Valle Gesso

In a tragic turn of events, two separate climbing accidents have claimed the lives of two men in Valle Gesso, Italy.

Marco Gibbin, a 39-year-old from Villar San Costanzo, was found dead after going missing during a solo hiking trip in the Valcuca area.

His body was discovered by rescue teams after an extensive search.

Just days later, Daniele Pacini, a 34-year-old from Empoli, fell to his death while climbing the Spigolo Vernet on Cima della Nasta.

His climbing partner, who sustained minor injuries, alerted the authorities, but rescue efforts were unsuccessful.

Both incidents have deeply affected the local communities, highlighting the inherent risks of mountain activities.
