Italy is experiencing severe weather conditions this weekend, marked by heavy snow, rain, and strong winds.
The northern regions, including Liguria and the lower Piedmont, are facing intense precipitation, with snow falling at low altitudes, even reaching the plains in some areas.
The storm, named "Darragh," is causing disruptions across the country, with snow expected to continue in the Alps and Prealps.
The central and southern regions, including Sardinia, are also affected by rain and thunderstorms, particularly in Lazio and the Tyrrhenian areas of Campania, Basilicata, and Calabria.
Motorists are advised to travel only with winter tires or chains, as snow is expected on major highways, including the A1 and A27. The weather is expected to improve slightly by Tuesday, but caution is still advised for travelers.
