A wave of severe weather is set to hit Italy, with Emilia-Romagna bracing for significant changes.

Following a brief period of mild temperatures, a cold front will bring heavy rain, strong winds, and snow to the region starting December 19. Snowfall is expected as low as 500 meters in the Apennines, while other parts of Italy will also experience widespread rain and storms.

The Civil Protection Agency has issued a yellow alert for nine regions, warning of potential flooding and landslides.

Conditions are expected to improve by the evening of December 20, with clearer skies in some areas.

Residents are advised to stay updated on weather alerts and take necessary precautions.
