Italy is currently facing severe weather conditions as an Arctic storm sweeps across the country.
The coastal areas, particularly Livorno, are experiencing winds exceeding 115 km/h and waves reaching up to 7 meters, leading to the closure of Viale Italia due to heavy seas.
The storm has caused trees to fall and halted ferry services.
The cold front is expected to bring a significant drop in temperatures by 10-12 degrees from Thursday, with intense frosts anticipated by Friday.
Regions including Liguria, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, and others are bracing for strong gales, with wind speeds reaching up to 150 km/h in some mountainous areas.
The storm has also brought snow to lower altitudes and severe temperature drops in the Alps, with temperatures plummeting to -23°C on Monte Rosa.
