A tragic accident occurred on the A21 highway near Manerbio on Sunday evening, December 22. Roberto Bertanza, a 43-year-old from Offlaga, lost control of his car and hit the guardrail.

As he exited his vehicle to seek safety, he was struck and killed by another passing car.

The highway was closed in the direction of Torino for several hours to allow police investigations and cleanup.

This incident mirrors a similar tragedy just two weeks ago on the Brebemi highway, where a 27-year-old woman lost her life in a comparable situation.

Authorities are urging drivers to exercise extreme caution in such scenarios.
