A tragic car accident on Provincial Road 82, between Acquaviva delle Fonti and Gioia del Colle in Bari, claimed two lives around midnight.

The victims were a 19-year-old Albanian man, who died instantly, and a 44-year-old man who succumbed to his injuries shortly after being taken to Miulli Hospital in Acquaviva.

The crash involved three vehicles, but the driver of the third car escaped unharmed.

Firefighters worked through the night at the scene, while local authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
