A tragic car accident occurred on Saturday evening, August 10, around 7 PM on the Corda Molle road between Montichiari and Castenedolo.

An 86-year-old driver, traveling in the wrong direction, collided head-on with a vehicle driven by a 28-year-old man.

Both vehicles were completely destroyed in the crash.

The elderly man died instantly, while the young driver was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but sadly succumbed to his injuries shortly after.

Emergency services, including firefighters and police, responded quickly to the scene, closing the road for several hours to manage the aftermath and clear the wreckage.

The accident caused significant traffic disruptions, with vehicles being diverted to alternative routes.
