A tragic car accident claimed the life of a 17-year-old boy in the outskirts of Foggia last night.

The teenager, who was driving a Fiat Punto without a license, lost control of the vehicle, which crashed into a tree.

Emergency services, including firefighters and local police, responded to the scene.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident, reviewing surveillance footage to determine the cause of the crash and why the young driver was behind the wheel without a license.

The vice principal of the technical-economic and technological institute the boy attended described him as a bright and wonderful student, excelling in mathematics and physical education.
