In a major operation, Milan police have dismantled a criminal network responsible for a series of street and metro robberies.
The group, involving 50 individuals, including 18 minors, targeted gold chains and other valuables, which were then sold through a Romanian family's illegal operation.
The gang operated from a San Siro apartment, where stolen goods were collected and later smuggled to Romania for resale.
Authorities used surveillance footage and phone data to uncover 25 robberies and the systematic fencing of stolen items.
The arrests highlight the growing issue of youth involvement in organized crime, with many suspects being second-generation immigrants.
