Italian police have launched a massive nationwide operation targeting youth crime, resulting in 73 arrests and 142 charges, including 29 minors.

The crackdown, named "Squadra Mobile," involved over a thousand officers and focused on curbing the rise of youth gangs and related criminal activities.

Authorities seized weapons, including firearms and knives, as well as drugs like cocaine and ecstasy.

The operation extended to schools, public spaces, and youth hotspots, with 13,000 young people checked, including 3,000 minors.

In addition to arrests, numerous fines were issued for drug use and underage alcohol sales.
