Italian authorities have dismantled a major drug trafficking network spanning 12 towns in the provinces of Naples and Salerno, with connections reaching as far as Sicily.

The operation, involving over 200 officers, led to 32 arrests and 19 additional suspects under investigation.

The network, worth an estimated €8 million, used secret compartments in vehicles and even exploited women with infants to evade detection.

Investigators seized 19 kilograms of cocaine and over €500,000 in cash.

Among the suspects is Antonio Gemignani, a social media personality known as Papusciello, who remains at large.

This operation highlights the lengths to which traffickers go to avoid law enforcement, including hiding drugs in homes of unsuspecting individuals.
