In a significant police operation, a large cache of weapons believed to belong to the Curva Nord Interista, a notorious football fan group, was discovered in Cambiago, near Milan.
The arsenal, which included pistols, AK-47 rifles, grenades, and hundreds of bullets, was found in a warehouse linked to Cristian Ferrario, a known ultra associated with Andrea Beretta.
Beretta, a former leader of the Curva Nord, is currently imprisoned for the murder of Antonio Bellocco, another leader of the group.
The discovery comes amid Beretta's recent decision to cooperate with authorities, potentially revealing criminal activities within the fan group.
Ferrario, who was already under legal scrutiny, has been arrested and is facing charges related to the possession of war weapons.
This operation highlights ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks associated with football fan groups in Italy.
