Milan authorities are on high alert after reports of an armed man carrying a rifle through the city's Central Station.

The first sighting occurred around 5 PM, with surveillance cameras capturing the man, described as bald, of average build, and wearing dark clothing with a white shoulder bag.

He was seen boarding a metro train on the green line, heading towards Famagosta, where a second sighting was reported.

Despite extensive searches, the man remains unidentified and at large.

Investigators are working to determine whether the weapon is real or a replica, as no threats or violent actions have been reported.

The incident has sparked concern among commuters and prompted a citywide manhunt.
