Recent torrential rains and floods have given way to an unexpected heatwave, with temperatures soaring 3-4°C above average.

The North sees temperatures around 24°C, while the South reaches nearly 30°C.

This atypical weather includes rain moving 'backwards' from the South to the North, affecting regions like Lazio and Campania.

Despite a brief period of high pressure, more rain is expected, particularly in the North and Central regions, as a new Atlantic disturbance approaches.

The South, however, will enjoy sunnier and warmer conditions.
