A tragic incident occurred this afternoon in Barcarello, a seaside area of Palermo, where a three-year-old boy drowned in a private swimming pool.

The child, who was set to celebrate his third birthday tomorrow, was discovered by his father around 3:30 PM.

In a desperate attempt to save his son, the father jumped into the pool and pulled him to the edge before calling for emergency help.

Unfortunately, by the time paramedics arrived, the child had already passed away.

Family members were the first to alert authorities by dialing 112, but despite their efforts, the outcome was devastating.
