A 62-year-old woman, Simonetta Kalfus, tragically died following complications from a liposuction procedure performed at a private clinic in Rome.
Preliminary autopsy results suggest sepsis as the cause of death.
The operation, conducted on March 6, has led to three doctors being investigated for manslaughter.
Concerns have been raised about the clinic's compliance with safety standards, as well as the medical care provided during her two-week ordeal.
Her daughter, Eleonora Rivetti, believes critical errors were made both during and after the surgery.
Authorities are now examining medical records and the clinic's practices to uncover the truth behind this preventable tragedy.
