The tragic death of 22-year-old Agata Margaret Spada has sparked a criminal investigation into the practices of a cosmetic surgery clinic in Rome.

Agata, who worked at a care home in Lentini, died following a minor nasal surgery she discovered through TikTok.

The clinic, run by Marco and Marco Antonio Procopio, is under scrutiny for allegedly lacking proper authorization and qualifications for performing cosmetic surgeries.

The procedure, advertised as a quick fix, ended fatally when Agata suffered complications from anesthesia.

Authorities are investigating the substances used during the procedure, and the Procopios are being investigated for manslaughter.
