A shocking case of elder abuse has been uncovered at the "Sacro Cuore" care home in Dizzasco, Italy.

After a six-month investigation, authorities have arrested seven staff members accused of systematic mistreatment of elderly residents, many of whom were non-autonomous and bedridden.

The investigation, initiated by a complaint in August 2024, revealed disturbing evidence, including video footage of physical and verbal abuse.

Two individuals are now in custody, while five others are under house arrest.

One staff member was also found to be practicing as a nurse without proper qualifications.

The case highlights the vulnerability of elderly care home residents and the importance of vigilance in protecting their rights.
