DNA Confirms Identity in Val di Susa Case

The remains found in the woods of Gravere, Val di Susa, have been confirmed through DNA analysis to belong to Mara Favro, a 51-year-old woman who disappeared a year ago.

Investigators believe her body was thrown into a ravine after her death, as suggested by multiple fractures found on the bones.

Items like clothing fragments and glasses near the site further support this conclusion.

Two suspects, Vincenzo Milione, the owner of the pizzeria where Mara worked, and former employee Cosimo Esposito, are under investigation for murder and concealment of a body.

Both deny the charges.

Authorities are conducting further forensic examinations to solidify evidence for a potential trial.

The case has brought renewed attention to the tragic disappearance and the search for justice.
