Italy is bracing for a week of intense weather as a series of Atlantic disturbances sweep across the country.

A cyclone, fueled by cold polar air, will bring heavy rain and snow from Tuesday to Thursday.

The Dolomites are expected to see significant snowfall, with accumulations of up to 30 cm at altitudes as low as 800 meters.

Central and southern regions will face thunderstorms and strong winds, while temperatures will drop slightly.

By Friday, conditions may stabilize briefly, but the respite is unlikely to last.
