Alice Toniolli, a 19-year-old cyclist from Trentino, Italy, suffered a severe accident during the Women's Open race at the Circuito dell'Assunta in Ceneda di Vittorio Veneto.
While riding at high speed, Toniolli lost control of her bicycle and crashed into a wall, resulting in multiple fractures to her head and chest.
She was initially taken to Conegliano hospital but was later transferred to the intensive care unit at Ca' Foncello hospital in Treviso due to the seriousness of her injuries.
