Louis Dassilva, a 34-year-old Senegalese man, has been arrested for the murder of Pierina Paganelli in Rimini, Italy.

Paganelli, 78, was stabbed 29 times on October 3, 2023. Prosecutors believe Dassilva killed Paganelli to prevent her from exposing his extramarital affair with her daughter-in-law, Manuela Bianchi.

The suspect was identified through surveillance footage, his distinctive gait, and height.

Bianchi, who discovered the body, is now under scrutiny for potentially having knowledge of the crime.
