The Via dell'Amore, a stunning trail in the Cinque Terre, is set to reopen after 12 years of closure due to landslides.

This iconic path, which stretches for 900 meters along the cliffs, has undergone extensive renovations costing over 23 million euros to ensure safety and preserve its natural beauty.

The reopening ceremony was marked by a festive atmosphere, attended by local authorities and the Minister of Tourism, Daniela Santanchè, who expressed her emotional farewell to outgoing Governor Giovanni Toti.

The trail will now be managed as an open-air museum, requiring reservations and a fee to maintain its upkeep.

Visitors are encouraged to appreciate the area's rich history and natural resilience, with plans for informative podcasts to enhance their experience.
