Train Conductor Stabbed in Genoa

In a shocking incident at the Rivarolo station in Genoa, train conductor Rosario Ventura was stabbed by a 21-year-old man after asking for a ticket.

The attacker, Alshahhat Fares, and his 15-year-old companion, who frequently traveled without tickets, became violent when confronted.

The situation escalated quickly, resulting in Ventura being stabbed in the shoulder and arm.

Despite his injuries, Ventura expressed gratitude for the nationwide support he received, as trains across Italy stopped in solidarity.

The attackers were apprehended shortly after the incident, with Fares facing charges of aggravated assault and carrying a weapon.
