A tragic accident occurred in Monte San Pietro, Bologna, where a 12-year-old boy was fatally injured after being run over by a tractor driven by his father.

The incident took place on Saturday afternoon at the family's estate in the Colombara area.

According to initial reports from the carabinieri, the father did not see his son during a maneuver.

The boy was airlifted to Maggiore Hospital in Bologna in critical condition but sadly passed away a few hours later.
