A 16-year-old girl in Sesto San Giovanni, near Milan, gave birth at home in secret, leading to a tragic discovery.

Neighbors, alarmed by her cries, called emergency services, who found the lifeless body of a newborn boy wrapped in a blanket and left in a bucket on the balcony.

The girl, of Macedonian origin, had kept her pregnancy hidden from everyone, including her family.

Her mother, unaware of the situation, thought her daughter was unwell.

Authorities are investigating whether the death resulted from a miscarriage or occurred after the clandestine birth.

Both the girl and her mother are in shock, and the case is being handled with sensitivity due to the girl's young age.
