Milan's New Metro Line M4 Opens

Published: 2024-10-12

Milan has unveiled its new Metro Line M4, a significant infrastructure project connecting the city from east to west.

The 15-kilometer line, featuring 21 stations, promises to enhance urban mobility by reducing travel time to just 27 minutes from Linate to San Cristoforo.

The inauguration, attended by Mayor Beppe Sala and Transport Minister Matteo Salvini, marks a milestone in Milan's transit history, making it the sixth largest metro network in Europe.

Built by Webuild, the M4 is part of a broader legacy of global metro projects, further cementing Milan's status as a key player in urban transportation.
