Milan has witnessed a troubling series of hit-and-run incidents in recent days, with three cases reported in less than ten days.
The latest occurred in the Gratosoglio area, where a 39-year-old mother and her 13-year-old disabled son were struck by a car while crossing a pedestrian lane.
The driver, a 61-year-old Egyptian man, initially checked on the injured woman but fled the scene.
Police quickly identified and arrested him using surveillance footage and license plate details.
Both victims were hospitalized, with the mother suffering serious injuries requiring surgery, though neither is in life-threatening condition.
This incident follows two other similar cases, including a fatal hit-and-run involving Rocio Espinoza Romero.
The spate of accidents has sparked public outrage, with calls for stricter traffic regulations in Milan.
