Licia Rognini Pinelli, a prominent figure in the history of Milan, has passed away at the age of 96. Born in Senigallia in 1928, Licia was the widow of Pino Pinelli, an anarchist who died under suspicious circumstances in 1969 after being detained by police in connection with the Piazza Fontana bombing.
For nearly six decades, Licia dedicated her life to uncovering the truth about her husband's death, advocating with dignity and courage.
Her relentless pursuit of justice earned her the title of Commendatore al Merito della Repubblica in 2015. Licia leaves behind two daughters, Silvia and Claudia, and a legacy of resilience and commitment to truth.
