Remembering Lino Jannuzzi: A Journalistic Icon

Lino Jannuzzi, a prominent Italian journalist and politician, passed away at the age of 96. Born in Grottolella, Avellino, in 1928, Jannuzzi was known for his groundbreaking investigative work, including the significant Sifar scandal published in 1967 alongside Eugenio Scalfari.

His career was marked by controversy, facing legal challenges that led to a conviction for defamation, later pardoned by President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi in 2005. Jannuzzi served in the Italian Senate for Forza Italia and was a vocal critic of the judicial system, particularly in the case of Enzo Tortora.

He authored several influential books and contributed to various media outlets, leaving a lasting impact on Italian journalism and politics.
