Published: 2024-11-17

The regional elections in Emilia-Romagna have commenced, with polling stations open from 7 AM to 11 PM on Sunday and from 7 AM to 3 PM on Monday.

Voters are choosing a new regional president among four candidates: Michele de Pascale for the center-left, Elena Ugolini for the center-right, Federico Serra for the radical left, and Luca Teodori from "Lealtà, Coerenza, Verità.

" The elections are being closely watched as they may impact national politics.

However, voter turnout has been low, with only 11.57% of eligible voters casting their ballots by noon.

The results are expected to be announced late Monday after the polls close.
