A new report by French magazine Le Point sheds light on the turbulent family history of John Elkann, chairman of Stellantis.

Elkann and his siblings recount their difficult relationship with their mother, Margherita Agnelli, marked by religious impositions and alleged verbal and physical abuse.

Elkann described her as "naturally violent" and resistant to opposition, with his brother Lapo reportedly suffering the most.

The family’s disputes extend to a 20-year legal battle over the Agnelli inheritance, involving claims of hidden assets and tax evasion.

The report also recalls a surprising moment from the past: a visit by Vladimir Putin to the Agnelli estate in Villar Perosa.

Despite these personal challenges, Elkann remains focused on leading Stellantis in the competitive global market.
