Milan is bracing for another transport strike on Saturday, October 5, as workers from the Azienda Trasporti di Milano (ATM) join a nationwide protest organized by the Orsa union.
The strike, prompted by the failure to renew the national contract for public transport workers, will last 24 hours, affecting local public transport services.
In Milan, disruptions are expected from 8:45 AM to 3 PM and from 6 PM until the end of service, potentially leading to partial or complete closures of the city's five metro lines and delays in bus, tram, and trolleybus services.
The funicular service between Como and Brunate may also be impacted during specific hours.
This follows previous strikes on September 9 and 20, which caused significant inconvenience to passengers.
