Known for her reserved yet ambitious nature, she was tragically killed by her ex-boyfriend, Mark Antony Samson, after their relationship ended.

Samson murdered Ilaria, hid her body in a suitcase, and abandoned it in a ravine near Rome.

Initially feigning concern, he later confessed and led investigators to the body.
