The tragic murder of 22-year-old Ilaria Sula has shocked Italy.

A student at Sapienza University in Rome, Ilaria was killed by her ex-boyfriend, Mark Antony Samson, who is now under investigation.

Her body was found stuffed in a suitcase and abandoned in a remote area near Poli, 50 kilometers from Rome.

A surveillance camera captured Samson’s car heading to the site, leaving a 22-hour gap in the timeline of events.

Ilaria’s father, Flamur Sula, expressed his grief, recalling a chilling encounter with Samson, who apologized and even hugged him.

The case has reignited protests against femicide, with activists and friends demanding justice and action to prevent such tragedies.
