In Scampia, Naples, around 500 residents gathered for a candlelight vigil to honor the three victims of a tragic balcony collapse at the Vela Celeste.

The event was marked by a poignant silence, interrupted only by the names of the deceased: Roberto, Margherita, and Patrizia.

The local police are currently investigating the incident, which left three others, including two children, in critical condition.

Authorities are examining documents related to the Restart Scampia project, aimed at urban renewal in the area, which includes plans to demolish some of the aging buildings.

The investigation seeks to determine accountability for the collapse, as concerns about the structural integrity of the buildings have been raised for years.
