A tragic incident occurred in Scampia, Naples, where a balcony on the third floor of the Vela Celeste collapsed, resulting in two fatalities and 13 injuries, including seven minors.

The victims were identified as 29-year-old Roberto Abbruzzo and 35-year-old Margherita Della Ragione, both of whom were part of the same family.

The collapse, which happened around 10:30 PM, caused panic among residents, leading to the evacuation of approximately 800 people from the building.

Local authorities, including Naples Mayor Gaetano Manfredi and Prefect Michele di Bari, have been actively involved in rescue operations and assessing the situation.
