Rome has unveiled its newly renovated Piazza Pia, a pedestrian-friendly space connecting Castel Sant'Angelo to Via della Conciliazione, ahead of the 2025 Jubilee.

The project also includes an extended underpass at Lungotevere in Sassia.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, despite battling a cold, attended the inauguration alongside other officials, including Matteo Salvini and Cardinal Parolin.

Meloni praised the project as a testament to effective institutional collaboration, emphasizing its timely completion.

The event highlighted Rome's preparations for the Jubilee, aiming to enhance the city's accessibility and charm.
