The mysterious death of Liliana Resinovich, a 63-year-old woman from Trieste, is under renewed scrutiny nearly three years after her disappearance.

Resinovich vanished on December 14, 2021, and was found dead on January 5, 2022, near an abandoned psychiatric hospital close to her home.

Recent forensic examinations have revealed injuries on her body, suggesting the involvement of a third party, contradicting earlier reports of suicide.

These findings include a fracture in the thoracic vertebra and hemorrhaging in her hand.

Additionally, recovered WhatsApp messages between Resinovich and a man named Claudio Sterpin indicate she planned to leave her husband for him, adding complexity to the case.
