Heavy rainfall has caused significant landslides in the Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia regions, blocking key roads including the regional 355 and 465. The landslide occurred overnight between August 6 and 7, with thousands of cubic meters of debris obstructing the road near Acquatona, affecting travel between San Pietro di Cadore and Sappada.

Emergency services, including the Alpine Rescue and local firefighters, have been deployed to assess the damage and ensure no vehicles were trapped.

The situation remains critical, with authorities advising travelers to seek alternative routes.

Additional landslides have also impacted other roads in the area, leading to numerous emergency interventions.
