Four suspects have been identified in the recent assault on a gay couple in Rome, according to the Carabinieri.
The alleged attackers, three men and one woman in their early twenties, are reportedly unrecorded offenders.
The couple, accompanied by their lawyer, recognized the suspects from photographs during an interview with the authorities.
The incident, which escalated from a road rage dispute, involved physical violence and homophobic slurs directed at the couple.
The Gay Center reported that the couple was attacked while crossing the street hand in hand after a night out.
Witnesses recorded the assault, but few intervened until the attackers were stopped.
An official report is expected to be sent to the prosecutor's office soon.
