Ludovico Vanoli, a 41-year-old experienced base jumper from Montichiari, Brescia, tragically lost his life during a wingsuit flight in the Dolomites.
The accident occurred near the Capanna Trieste refuge in Taibon Agordino, Veneto, when Vanoli reportedly struck a rocky spire while descending.
Despite immediate search efforts by rescue teams, his body was found lifeless hours later.
Vanoli, who was also a wakeboard and snowboard instructor, leaves behind a wife and two young children.
This incident follows a similar tragedy involving another base jumper, Raian Kamel, who died just days earlier under comparable circumstances.
The sport, known for its high risks, has claimed multiple lives in recent times, highlighting the dangers associated with wingsuit flying.
