The disaster claimed the lives of several prominent individuals, including Jonathan Bloomer, president of Morgan Stanley International, and Chris Morvillo, a lawyer for the yacht's owner, Mike Lynch.

The yacht, which was hosting a celebratory cruise following Lynch's recent legal victory, was caught in extreme weather conditions that led to its rapid sinking.
