A tragic accident occurred during a hiking trip in the Dolomites, resulting in the death of 26-year-old Giorgio Allegri from Ravenna.

While trekking with friends on the Tivan trail near Civetta, Allegri slipped and fell several meters, leading to fatal injuries.

The incident happened on Friday, August 23, marking a particularly grim day for mountain rescues in the region, with two fatalities reported.

Emergency services, including a helicopter from Suem of Pieve di Cadore, responded swiftly, but despite their efforts, Allegri succumbed to his injuries shortly after being airlifted to the hospital.
