A tragic accident occurred at the San Giovanni Bosco hospital parking lot, resulting in the death of a two-year-old girl named Esmeralda.

The incident happened when a 57-year-old woman accidentally hit the child with her car while maneuvering out of a parking space.

Esmeralda, who was at the hospital with her mother to visit a relative, suffered severe injuries and was immediately taken to the hospital's emergency room.

Despite efforts to save her, she succumbed to her injuries after being transferred to Regina Margherita hospital.

The driver, upon realizing the accident, fell ill and was also hospitalized.
