A tragic incident occurred in Marcon, near Venice, Italy, where a one-and-a-half-year-old girl died after being left in a hot car for several hours.

The father, who works at a lighting company, forgot to drop his daughter off at daycare and went straight to work.

Colleagues discovered the child in the car around 2 PM during lunch break.

Despite immediate attempts at resuscitation, the girl could not be saved.

Temperatures in the area reached 34°C (93°F), likely exceeding 40°C (104°F) inside the vehicle.

This marks the 11th such death in Italy since the introduction of mandatory anti-abandonment systems for children under four in cars.
