In Sardinia, a group of eight was caught in a storm at Monte Arcosu, leading to one person going missing.

Firefighters have been tirelessly searching for the missing individual using helicopters and ground teams.

The rest of the group was rescued and taken to safety.

Meanwhile, in Liguria, the search for a missing man in Arenzano is ongoing as the region battles heavy rains.

The adverse weather has caused landslides, including one that blocked the A6 motorway.

Authorities have issued orange alerts in parts of Liguria, Piedmont, and Emilia-Romagna, with yellow alerts in Sardinia and other regions.
