The Liguria region in Italy is currently experiencing severe weather conditions due to an Atlantic storm.
The regional weather agency, Arpal, has issued an orange alert, the highest level for thunderstorms, affecting central Liguria and the eastern Savona area until tomorrow evening.
This alert follows a yellow warning for other parts of the region.
Schools in 13 municipalities, including Savona, have been closed as a precaution.
The storm is expected to bring heavy rain, strong winds with gusts over 100 km/h, and potential flooding and landslides, especially in areas already saturated from previous rains.
The situation is being closely monitored, with updates available on the Liguria region's alert website.
