In a dramatic turn of events, a newlywed couple's honeymoon took a criminal twist when the husband, Christian Filippo Braidich, escaped from Bollate prison near Milan, where he was serving a 13-year sentence.
Just days after their prison wedding, the couple was found in a stolen camper at a campsite in Casal Borsetti, Ravenna.
The vehicle, worth €80,000, had been reported stolen from a Belgian tourist.
When police arrived, the wife, a 38-year-old from Cinisello Balsamo, created a diversion, allowing her husband to escape once more.
She was arrested for resisting arrest and now faces legal consequences, including mandatory check-ins with the police.
Meanwhile, Braidich remains at large, continuing to evade capture.
